Eric VIGOUROUX is participating at the Hands United For Children Gala “A for Art and Action” on March 14, 2013 in Rancho Santa Fe, California.

Eric Vigouroux discovered Hands United For Children late 2012 and without hesitation decided to carry the logo of the non profit organization on his Trophy-Truck and on his team outfits while taking part in the world renowned rally race, the Dakar 2013. That sealed the beginning of a long-term partnership.

Hands United For Children’ mission, to support children in distressed situations through education, shelter, health and individual welfare, is being realized in Africa, the United States and soon in Latin America.

Eric, his spouse and a few friends will be attending the HUFC annual gala on March 14, 2013 to show their support.
“After the Dakar rally, I met with Agnès Barrelet, Executive Director of Hands United For Children to discuss the results of the Dakar media coverage and define our future actions together”. Agnes explained her goals for this year. The majority of the gala proceeds will be used to buy the curriculum, the IT equipment, the furniture and supplies for 120 students entering 10th grade at the O’Farrell Charter School in September 2013 in the Southeast San Diego. The funds raised that night will also help open the first free HUFC Health Clinic on the O’Farrell campus. Lastly, Hands United For Children will continue help build the preschool in Burkina Faso, West Africa to accept 35 more students in September 2013.

Agnes and her team have already done a lot of the groundwork but in order to complete the projects, Hands United For Children needs to raise the necessary funds during its annual Gala.

Local celebrities demonstrated their support by making generous donations for the Live Auction. Songwriter and singer Jason Mraz donated an autographed Taylor guitar and strap that he recently used on his 2012 LOVE Tour and Eric Vigouroux generously donated a training session aboard his brand new Trophy-Truck in the Californian desert. Other VIP Experiences, for the Action seekers, include a South African safari package and an aerobatic flight with Team Oracle’s Sean D. Tucker, and for the hedonists, a Resort and Spa package at Rancho Las Palmas, in Palm Desert. Renowned Bill Menish will auction many other exciting items on the evening of the gala.

During the cocktail reception, guests will also enjoy an art exhibition featuring local artists. Each of them has generously committed to donate 50% of their proceeds to Hands United For Children.

I am honored and very happy to be able to help this great organization. I would like to invite people to join me at this event on March 14. This is crucial for these children, they need our help.”
